  • after 9pm: Social Dancing - music, dance and socialising!

Instructor Roster. Each instructor has their own style and things they like to teach (eg. Nik loves his Cuban salsa), so you may get different emphasis or described to do things differently with different teachers. Variety makes your salsa spicy!See videos below for examples of what you might encounter during Thursday intermediate classes!

18th Jan - 8th Feb: Luna and Michael Intermediate class work on suave turns and more. (2.9MB .mov)
15th Feb - 1st March: Nik and Nenagh taught 3 intermediate classes on the "exhibela" turn pattern (5.8MB .mov)
More coming soon: Watch this space...

While beginner's class is drop-in, this year we are running the intermediate classes as a mini workshop, starting with a theme and building each week. You can still use it as a drop-in class, or benefit from the weekly progression. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that are easy to dance in. Drinks are available at the bar, expect to get hot!

Please also see our section on Workshops.

Private classes.
We find that people learn a lot quicker in a private class setting with one-to-one teaching, and this can be quite cost effective for for a small group. For example, for six people doing a class with two teachers, works out the same cost as a casual class on Thursdays. Cost is $40 per hour with one teacher, $60 per hour with two. Please contact us for information or to arrange a teacher.
