As we develop this section, more videos will become available.

Performance taste of Tasmania 2007. (16.3MB) A new choreoography by Nik and Imma, with entry sequences, guy moments, girl sections, rueda, solos. A beautiful day at the Parliament house lawns. Duration: 10min: 28sec.

New Rueda Turns June 06. (5.6MB) This is a clip of what we recently worked on. It's great to learn more turns, and even more fun when everyone gets to know them. Some of these turns were inspired by a video from a Rueda DVD by Bugaloo Productions , Salsa Casino video clips and some of our own moves. Go ahead and learn them!

Imma and Curi (952k) A sample of the amazing lessons that Imma and John took while traveling around cuba. This turns they named "diente" and you can see the amazing pictures - works by Curi's girlfriend. Amazing how such humble (and humid!) surrounds co-exist with such expressive joy of living.

Vasilala and Sombrero (872k) This is an excerpt from Nik's workshop in November 2005. Based on the cuban open step, both vasilala and sombrero incorporate a right hand turn for the girl starting on the first beat. Over the next six steps, she turns and crosses in-front of him to end up side by side on his right. Dile que no crosses her back into cuban open. Nik has a DVD available with scores of turns like this - check out Nik's Salsa Resource.

Rueda: Setenta (1.3MB) Here's us dancing at Salamanca place, outside the machine cafe on a Saturday afternoon. After a lush meal and a coffee we turn on some music and dance. Rueda is a social circle dance, with a leader calling pre-arranged turn patterns or moves, often fast paced with passing of partners. This turn setenta (seventy) is based on a right hand turn for the girls on the first step (similar to vasilala and sombrero) with hands uncrossed. The wrapping up effect is signature to all the setenta turns, embellished by the flourish behind the neck. Dile que no swaps her back into cuban open step.

Videos made using quicktime.
