New Zealand Cuban Salsa Teachers in Hobart

Dance Classes with Vivio and Greydis

Who are Vivio and Greydis?

Vivio and Greydis are a Cuban couple now based in Auckland New Zealand.  They are professional dance instructors, performers and choreographers.

Many of you will remember them from last February (2009) when Vivio and Greydis taught a series of Salsa classes in Hobart, as will others who travelled to New Zealand in April for the NZ Salsa Congress where Vivio and Greydis taught a three day intensive Salsa immersion course and several Congress classes.

When are the classes?

August 29th and 30th

Vivio and Greydis are coming back to Hobart for the last weekend of August 2009. They will teach a single upper intermediate/advanced workshop on Saturday 29th and a series of classes Sunday 30th.

Where are the classes?

All classes will be held at the John Colvin Stand on the Cenotaph.  The Cenotaph is where the Hobart Regatta is held at the bottom of the Domain.  You turn off the highway, follow the road (last bit on foot for the less adventurous) to the end where you will find a grand stand (John Colvin Stand) and enter the building from the front – the dance studio is in and to your left.

What else do I need to know?

·         BOOKING AND PAYMENT for classes will be via Thursday Night Salsa.  If you can not make it on Thursdays then please email tassie_salsa@yahoo.com.au and we will make booking (if available) and take payment via electronic funds transfer.

·         CLASS SIZE will be restricted to 30 (we will try to get as even a number of secure a place.

·         There will be NO DOOR SALES.  This is mainly to enable us to balance the numbers (gender wise) but also to reduce administration on the day.

·         LUNCH: BYO.  I don’t think that there are any food shops on the Cenotaph area so bring you own lunch or plan for a car trip.

·         DRINKS: BYO and/or bring a cup and get water from the tap. NO GLASS (glasses or glass bottles) allowed in the room as this is a condition of use when hiring the studio.

·         Cameras and videos: Class participants will be able to take VIDEO AT THE END OF EACH CLASS where Vivio and Greydis will give a detailed demonstration of what was covered during the class.

·         If you CANNOT MAKE A CLASS then please let us know as early as you can as may be able to find a replacement (there will likely be someone missing out who would love to take your place).
